Crorepatibaniye.com brings a large range of trivia questions, categorised into 9 subjects (Arts & Entertainment, Geography, History, Literature, Mythology/Traditional Culture, Politics, Religion, Science & Technology, Sports). The questions are of a similar difficulty level as those on the most popular TV shows. They are graded into three difficulty levels. The first five questions are of Level 1 (easiest), the next five of Level 2 and the last five of Level 3 (hardest).

      On passing a specifically designed quiz set, the user can get selected for the next batch of participants on a quiz show. Which show, depends on what tie-ups we can work out with the various quiz shows on different channels.

  1. The Quiz Format
  2. Each person who logs on gets a different set of questions drawn from the data bank. On completing each level, the user becomes eligible for a prize.

    Users can take the subjects individually, or all together (a choice of All Subjects) while practising. However, in the contest, they will have to answer questions drawn randomly from all the subjects.

    One quiz set played at a time will contain 15 questions. There will be no time limit on solving the questions. The question will be presented to the user one at a time. On solving one question, the next one will be presented. For all wrong answers, the correct answer will be presented to the user.

    The 15 questions will be graded into three categories. The first five questions will be in the ‘Easy’ category; the next five will be slightly harder to solve; and the last five will be in the ‘difficult’ category.

    At the end, the user will be presented with his score and the option to take the same quiz again, or a new quiz.

  4. All contestants who win in a particular time zone are eligible for a draw to decide the winner in that time zone. There will be three prizes in each time zone – for those that clear 5 questions (Rs. 1,000), 10 questions (Rs. 5,000) and 15 questions (Rs. 10,000). A separate draw will be held for each of the three prizes, among the contestants who have cleared that particular level.

    At the end of the day there will be one grand prize (Rs. 20,000) among all the eligible contestants of that day who have cleared the third difficulty level.

    In this manner, a total of Rs. 1,00,000 can potentially be given away in prize money every day. This will attract a lot of contestants to the site, since:

    1. The contestants can play once in each time zone. Thus, they have multiple opportunities to win a considerable amount of money every day, depending on their combination of skill and luck, instead of one large amount at longer intervals.
    2. There are 6 draws everyday among a smaller number of eligible contestants, increasing the probability of the contestants winning if play often.
